Stop,look , listen,before You cross the street.

This phrase was taught to us very
early in our school years. We can apply it to our daily walk as well.We are so
busy trying to support our families, working overtime, some with more than
one job, that we get caught up in our work.We have less and less time for God.
We must dedicate time to God,to give Him the reverence and praise He so
This could be as easy as getting up one hour early for prayer,or turning off the
t.v.thirty minutes early before going to bed.I know a guy that studies the Bible
through His breaks, and lunch. This is real dedication. He could be talking
sports,or having other earthly conversations, but He chooses to commune with
the Lord.
We all need to stop, and smell the roses,so to speak, and let God take control of
our lives. We need that one on one time,so we can grow, and be helpful to
others, this is our purpose as Christians.Matthew28:19 tells us that We need to
teach the word of God through out the world.Go ye therefore, and teach all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Ghost: *Matt 28:19 .
Then We need to look upon the Son of God:Behold the Lamb of God, which
taketh away the sin of the world. John 1:29. For even hereunto were ye called:
because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should
follow his steps: 22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth.1
Peter 2:21-22 .Jesus was the only one that as ever lived a sinless life.We are
however to pattern our life to Jesus. We will never b perfect,in the sense of being
sinless, but in the sense of maturity.
Everywhere Jesus traveled,He always showed compassion and love. There are
many stories, the woman caught in the act of adultery,Healing of the
lame, feeding the multitudes, but my favorite is,the raising of Lazarus. If You
don’t know the story of Lazarus,it can be found in John 11: 1-57 and 12:1-18
Jesus loved Us so mush ,He gave His life, that We could live. There can be no
greater example of love. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.John 3:15-16 .Jesus loved the people of the world so much He
died for its sin.He became the only perfect, living sacrifice to atone for our
sins.If You haven’t trusted Jesus as your savior,You need to today.
Finally We need to listen.Listen to what,You may say? We need to listen to the
words that are written in the Bible.Gods inspired word penned by men chosen
by Him.Every word in the Bible is true. The word is infallible.
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans
10:17.Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not
seen.Heb 11:1
Hearing begets faith. The more We hear Gods word, and really listen,We can
become stronger in our belief. The more I read, and witness God at work, the
more I believe. My faith becomes action, and thus I am able to be a witness for
the Heavenly Father,.You may have a favorite preacher that You listen to,and
that is good, but make sure He is preaching the Word.If You follow along,You
can distinguish truth, from fallacy.Be careful, for there are many false teachers
that will lead You down the wrong path. This is where reading Your Bible is a
very important tool in your growth as a Christian.
Please be careful listening to T.V. preachers. There are some that only want Your
money, and they teach a name it,claim it doctrine. This is not taught in the Word
of God.Jesus never charged ,for His healing, remember this.If someone
promises You wealth and fame, the only ones that become famous and wealthy
are them.
